GERALD GENTA

After his beginnings as an artist and painter, M. Gerald Genta founded his legendary watch company in 1969. He immediately excelled in creating stunning designs that were heavily influenced by his artistic roots. In 1981, Genta introduced the exquisite Répétition Minutes timepiece with automatic movement in a case less than 3 mm thick. While his professional staff included more than 120 crafters, Gerald Genta remained as the creative force behind every design.

Before venturing into his own timepiece business, Genta crafted several masterpieces for other luxury brands including the Royal Oak for Audemars Piguet, the Nautilus by Patek Phillippe, the Pasha by Cartier and the Constellation by Omega.  After 20 years in the business, Genta felt his call back to the world of artistic creations and sold his original company to Bvlgari. He devoted the next period of his life to painting until creating a new brand name in 2001 - Gérald Charles Designs.

The Gerald Genta Collection

Gerald Genta watches are known for their precision and elegance.  There are several different Gerald Genta watch models included in the luxurious collection.  The first is the Gefica Biretro, which features a hand-decorated self-winding movement.  It also highlights the hours, minutes, and date.  To track the seconds, the Gefica Biretro features a curvex hand.  The timepiece has a power reserve of 45 hours.  It’s unique look includes a bronze case lined with titanium beads, plus a black leather strap.  The next line in the Gerald Gentra watch collection is the Arena model.  There are several different variations of this design that are offered to consumers.  All Arena watch models feature automatic movement, jumping hours, retrograde minutes, and central seconds hand.  However, the color and design of the Arena watches vary slightly.  For example, the Arena Retro model features a steel case with a yellow and black dial.  A yellow rubber strap completes the watch.  On the other hand, the Arena Tourbillon model features the same basic movements, but is encased in platinum.  Additionally, the dial is black and metallic, while the strap is black leather.

The next line of Gerald Genta watch models is called the Octo series.  As with the Arena models, there are several different variations of the base design.  For example, the Octo Biretro features automatic movements and a 45 hour power reserve (like the other Octo models), but offers an octagon-shaped gold case with a black and red dial.  The strap on the Octo Biretro is black leather.  On the other hand, the Octo 49-Month MP is also octagonal, but is encasedin white gold and features a white gold and red dial.  This particular Gerald Genta watch model also features an open case and a black leather strap.  The final line is the Fantasy model.  This particular series features seven variations of the base model, with each one including a Mickey Mouse navigator motif.
